Program Statement
The Master of Science in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Student Affairs & Higher Education (MS EDLD/SAHE)* at Mississippi State University prepares graduate students for employment in college and university offices focused on student services, student advocacy, and student success. The program attracts students from Mississippi, the Southern region of the U.S., and from across the country. Likewise, graduates from the program are placed in colleges and universities nationally.
The 42 credit hour SAHE curriculum reflects the breadth of knowledge, skills, and competencies required of today’s student affairs administrators. Courses include:

MSU’s Student Affairs master’s program is designed for face-to-face delivery. Full-time students typically start the program in the Fall semester of each academic year and progress through the requirements as a cohort over the course of two academic years. Part-time enrollment in the program is possible and considered on a case-by-case basis.
Applicants to the program are strongly encouraged to apply for Graduate Assistantships at the university available through partnerships with MSU’s Division of Student Affairs and other related student-services offices.
