Program Statement

MAHEL develops students into transformational leaders primed to elevate higher education practice. You will acquire knowledge and tools necessary to create and sustain environments that promote educational equity.

Oakland University’s MAHEL graduate program is designed for individuals who seek to develop or advance their careers in mid-level higher education positions in both student and academic affairs.

You can now enroll in the fully online 16-month program. Both the on-campus and online cohort programs offer a balance of theory and practice, encourages networking among a community of your peers, and provides instruction from leading social justice scholars in higher education.
