Program Statement

The University at Albany was the first SUNY campus to offer a higher education graduate program. Now, more than 30 years later, the Department of Educational Policy and Leadership (EPL) (http://www.albany.edu/epl/) has become a nationally-recognized academic program taught by world class faculty with both strong scholarly backgrounds and extensive real-world experiences.  The EPL faculty have deep practical experience as senior leaders in student affairs, academic affairs, international education, academic advising, residence life, and diversity programs.  Our award-winning, globally-engaged faculty bring deep scholarly expertise having collectively published more than 20 books, generated substantial external research funds, and worked or consulted in more than 50 countries.
